Where it started
It began in a small Copenhagen wine bar, packed for live music — now we’re growing it.
The idea
A blues week made to grow.
We started Vester Blues at Vesterhus — our little wine bar on Istedgade — as a whole week of blues, jazz, folk and country. But the idea was never to keep it to one room. The plan is to spread it across Vesterbro, venue by venue, into a neighbourhood-wide music week. This is year one: six nights, doors at 19:30, just show up and bring your people.
Where
In the heart of Vesterbro
Vesterbro is Copenhagen’s liveliest evening quarter — wine bars, record shops and late kitchens along Istedgade and Sønder Boulevard. Vester Blues runs from Vesterhus, right in the middle of it.
